11 - Vidar

The twelfth card in the major arcana is Justice, no. 11.

I chose Vidar for Justice because he is suppose to avenge Odin's death at Ragnarök.

In the final days of the Ӕsir, Fenrir will swallow Odin. And as Odin had the wisdom of Mimir's Well in exchange for his eye, he forsaw this and sought out Vidar, his silent son. And thus Vidar will break Fenrir's jaws (his foot on the bottom jaw and his arm on the top) and slay the wolf to avenge his father at Ragnarök.

Vidar is something of a hermit. He is always silent, not even speaking to his father. He consistently can be found in a cave or field with a trusty, saddled steed at his side; always prepared to dash off at a moment's notice. It is said that all of the pieces people cut away from the soles of their shoes go to Vidar's. And thus he will be able to step on Fenrir's bottom jaw.

The card itself is made of ash wood. The darker ash for the main body of the card is an overlaid stain. The character is painted on parchment. Everything was done in PS. (Check my s for the resources.)
